Traffic stop leads to drug charges for one in Felton

FELTON, Del. – Felton Police arrested a woman on multiple drug charges following a traffic stop Saturday afternoon.

Shortly before 1 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 11000 block of South Dupont Highway. During the investigation, police discovered that the driver had 12 bags of suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia in the passenger compartment of the vehicle.

The driver, identified as 35-year-old Danielle Clendaniel, was charged with possess consume a controlled or counterfeit substance except human growth hormone without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia not related to marijuana, and other traffic charges.

She was released pending a future court date.
