The Salisbury Paramedic Foundation to hosts 5K fun run/walk April 12th to benefit AED initiatives
SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury Paramedic Foundation is preparing for the second annual 5k run/walk. At the Salisbury City Park, community members run for approximately 3.1 miles.
The goal of the event is to benefit AED initiatives, which means ‘Automated External Defibrillator,’ and the goal is to install 10 AED stations in all of Wicomico County.
Board member Debi Hammel, said this helps bring residents together for a good purpose. “Writing a check to an organization is great, but the events I feel like people get some involvement out of it. They get something they can take away from it, and getting together to support a good cause.”
