Sussex Tech baseball blanks Polytech in season opener

WOODSIDE, Del. – Sussex Tech baseball shut out Polytech to claim a 5-0 victory in their season opener on Tuesday.

The game was played at Polytech, but Sussex Tech was the home team.

Braydon Hazzard opened up scoring in the bottom of the 1st with a 2-out RBI single.

In the bottom of the 2nd a Braxton Hazzard sac fly made the score 2-0 Ravens.

Then in the 3rd, another sac fly from Gavin Hudson extended their lead to 3-0.

In the bottom of the 6th, doubles from Braydon Hazzard then Kobe Tindley made it 4-0, followed by a throwing error bringing Tindley home to make it 5-0.

For Sussex Tech, starting pitcher Sean Ely allowed 0 runs in 6 innings.
