Single vehicle crash claims life of woman in Selbyville

SELBYVILLE, Del. – A single-vehicle crash in Selbyville claimed the life of a Bishopville woman Wednesday evening.

Shortly before 9 p.m., police say a Hyundai Sonata was driving westbound on Cypress Road, approaching a curve near Daisey Road. The vehicle allegedly failed to negotiate the curve and veered off the roadway, with the back of the car hitting a tree. The vehicle then continued westbound and hit a second tree.

The 27-year-old driver was flown to an area hospital with serious injuries, where she later died.
