UPDATE: Serious crash shuts down portion of Route 13 in Delmar

3/12 UPDATE: Crews worked at the scene for approximately two hours to clear the crash involving a log truck.

We’re told the crash involved three tractor trailers, including one that rolled over, with the sole occupant trapped. The victim was extricated successfully, and two people were reportedly taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation.

DELMAR, Del. – A serious crash has shut down a portion of Route 13 in Delmar.

Details are limited at this time. We’re told southbound Route 13 in the area of the racetrack is closed as a result of this crash.
