Salisbury man convicted of attempted murder, witness intimidation

Tre Wallace 1280

SALISBURY, Md. – A Salisbury man has been convicted of attempted first degree murder and other related charges.

After a four day jury trial, 37-year-old Tre Wallace was convicted on Thursday of attempted first degree murder, two counts of attempted second degree murder, conspiracy to commit first degree murder, two counts of talking, witness intimidation, and related offenses.

The charges stem from an investigation that revealed that for approximately one month, Wallace stalked his estranged girlfriend’s new boyfriend and reportedly plotted to shoot him. On November 20, 2023, Wallace arranged for a family member to drive him to his estranged girlfriend’s home in a vehicle he knew she wouldn’t recognize, firing multiple shots at the couple as he drove by. The boyfriend then reportedly chased Wallace’s car in a high-speed chase for approximately five miles through Salisbury, with the occupants exchanging gunfire. After Wallace was charged in connection to the incident, he reportedly engaged in a multifaceted effort to tamper with and threatened the State’s witnesses against him.

Sentencing was postponed pending a pre-sentence investigation. Wallace will remain in custody pending sentencing.
