UPDATE: Police investigating fatal Seaford shooting

3/14 UPDATE: Delaware State Police have released the identity of the victim in this homicide.

The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Schweitzer Dessin.

SEAFORD, Del. – A homicide investigation is underway following a fatal shooting in Seaford Wednesday afternoon.

Just before 4:30 p.m., Seaford Police and Delaware State Police were called to a reported shooting at Nutter Park in Seaford. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 23-year-old Seaford man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Crews began lifesaving efforts, and the victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Police say two other men, ages 19 and 21, went to an area hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. A 23-year-old man also reportedly went to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries related to the shooting.

Preliminary investigation revealed that during a large fight, unidentified suspects fired multiple rounds at the victims.
