Next phase of Cannery Park expansion to begin soon

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Work is slated to begin soon on the next phase of Cannery Park’s expansion.

In this phase, we’re told benches and a lawn swing will be added to the perimeter of the semicircle facing the event pavilion. Additionally, an 8,000 square foot dog run is being added, complete with fencing and a double gated entryway for owners to unleash their dog before opening the next gate for them to run around. Added agility equipment for dogs will include bridges, steppers, and crawling tunnels.

Officials say this was funded by a $145,000 grant from the Community Development Block Grant program. Work is expected to be finished by late August.
