Millsboro man arrested following shots fired incident
MILLSBORO, Del. – A Millsboro man was arrested on charges stemming from a shots fired incident late Saturday night.
Just before 11:30 p.m., troopers were called to Gravel Hill Road for a report of disorderly conduct and shots fired. It was learned that the suspect, later identified as 56-year-old Harry Hudson, approached a social gathering at a neighboring residence and reportedly began acting disorderly with several attendees. The homeowner asked Hudson to leave, but he came back a short time later with a large dog, making threatening statements. Following multiple requests to leave, Hudson left a second time, but as he was leaving he allegedly pulled out a handgun that was concealed under his clothes and kept it in his hand while walking away from the scene.
A short time later, party attendees heard possible gunshots from the area of Hudson’s property and heard him yelling threats.
Hudson was found by police in his driveway shouting obscenities and was subsequently taken into custody. A computer check revealed that he is a convicted felon who is prohibited from possessing firearms.
Police charged Hudson with possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, possession of ammunition by a person prohibited, possession of a firearm while under the influence, and disorderly conduct. He was later released on a $21,050 unsecured bond.
