Investigation leads to home improvement charges for Georgetown man
GEORGETOWN, Del. – A Georgetown man has been charged following a home improvement investigation that began in October 2024.
Detectives say the investigation revealed that 58-year-old Dave Moncavage, who operated under the business name of Advanced Interiors, allegedly signed contracts with two victims to do construction work. Moncavage reportedly received over $24,000 in payments and never completed the projects.
On March 12th, a trooper on patrol saw a white Ford F-150 driving southbound on Mount Zion Road near Sussex Highway in Seaford and pulled the driver over after seeing the truck had lost a load of material from the bed. The driver was identified as Moncavage, who was taken into custody at the scene.
Moncavage was charged with home improvement by false impression $1500 or greater, home improvement fraud receive money for services not completed valued $1500 or greater and victim is 62 years or older/impaired/disabled, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, and multiple traffic violations. He was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond.
