Indian River High School Class of ’87 hosting Dine & Donate
DAGSBORO, Del. – Indian River High School is hosting a Dine & Donate event to raise money for a scholarship.
The school will be hosting that Dine & Donate on Saturday, April 12th at JR’s Seafood Shack in Fenwick Island.
20 percent of all dinner checks will go toward the Class of ’87 Alumni Scholarship Fund for a graduating Indian River High School senior.
Any graduating student from Indian River High School is eligible to apply for the scholarship if they are planning to attend college or a trade school in the fall following their graduation.
The scholarship was established to help students who face financial barriers but still excel academically.
Officials are looking for candidates who also demonstrate outstanding volunteer work and commitment to helping others.
“We want to give back from everything we’ve received from Indian River High School and give it back to somebody else so that they might be able to follow their dreams and go to college and just help a little bit from what we’ve gained to pass on to the next student,” said Lori Smyth, Class Treasurer, Indian River High School Class of ’87.
