Food and Toiletry Drive
POCOMOKE CITY, Md. – Local non-profits say there is a real need to help the people of Pocomoke City and they’re asking for pantry items.
Worcester Youth and Family Counseling Services is currently holding a Food and toiletry drive to provide items for vulnerable families in the area. Christine Felix is the Director of Worcester Navigation and says one day she went to pick up food for a family at the Helping Hands location and there were barely any items.
Felix says the community relies on the items they provide, so they need help to provide sustainable options. “They need items such as pouches of Tuna, chicken, high protein items… If everyone just gave one can, or one bottle of shampoo, and one tube of toothpaste, then the pantries might actually be stocked.”
You can drop off donations at the libraries in Pocomoke City, Snow Hill, Ocean City, Ocean Pines, and Berlin. For more information call 667-288-6010.
