Emerging Leader: Jason Orlen

WMDT – It’s Monday and that means it’s time to introduce you to a new emerging leader.

Jason Orlen is a math instructional coach and math interventionalist at East Millsboro Elementary School.

He’s set to receive the presidential award for excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.

The certificate, signed by former President Biden, at an awards ceremony in D.C. and an award of 10 thousand dollars.

Orlen tells us he was shocked he was not only nominated for such an honorable award but a winner!

He says it’s an amazing opportunity and he advises other educators to always put their best foot forward.

And he’s looking forward to the trip to D.C. and is excited to meet new people.
