County Executive Julie Giordano is confident about the 2026 budget

WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. – County Executive Julie Giordano is confident about the 2026 fiscal year budget. Public Safety, Education, and Parks & Rec need to be properly funded. Currently, the Board of Education is asking for $55 million.

Julie Giordano, and her staff, are charged with the allocation. She said things will work out as we move forward.

“My department heads are all passionate about the departments they run, and that’s a great thing. So, we need to figure out what we can do, and not put a burden on our taxpayers.”

Nothing concerning the budget has been finalized.
