Two shot in Accomack County early Thursday morning

ACCOMACK, Va. – On Thursday morning around 5:31 a.m. Eastern Shore Operations Center advised the Accomack County Sheriff’s Office of a male suffering from a gunshot wound at 23135 Lankford Highway, Accomack Virginia.

When police arrived they found a male suffering from a gunshot wound. A search of the building led to the discovery of a female victim also injured from gunshot wounds as well.

Pradipkumar Ratilal Patel, 56, of Accomack, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The decedent was transported to the Norfolk Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death.

The female ,24, of, Accomack was transported by Maryland State Police Trooper 7 to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. The female is currently in critical condition.

A full investigation led to the warrants being obtained for 44-year-old George Frazier Devon Wharton, of Onancock, Virginia. He is currently and jail and has been denied bond.
