Two injured in overnight shooting in Denton
DENTON, Md. – The Caroline County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an overnight shooting that left two people injured in Denton.
Just before 12:30 a.m., deputies were called to a reported shooting and altercation at 28025 Ruritan Road. At the scene, deputies found a 71-year-old man suffering from injuries to his back and head after reportedly being shot with a shotgun, and a 68-year-old man with a compound fracture to his left ankle.
Both were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation remains active.
