Town of Milton will host a Mayoral and Town Council candidate forum

MILTON Del. – The event will run from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and will be hosted by the League of Women Voters of Sussex County.

Mayor John Collier, and opponent Vice Mayor Lee Revis-Plank, as they compete for the Mayor’s seat next month.

They plan to speak to community members about goals and actions. Mayor Collier feels his time as town leader has already been successful.

“I know what my work ethic is, I know the time I put into this, and I do it very quietly. I’m not one to step out and say look at me, this is what I’m doing. I just continue to do the work until I have a result.”

Vice Mayor Lee Revis-Plank, made the decision to run, because she wants everyone to have a vote.

“If there is not two or more candidates, then there is not an election, and if there is no election, you don’t have a vote, and if you don’t have a vote, you don’t have a voice.”

You can attend the event at 121 union street. Voting will open on march 1st.
