Tidal Health reinstates mask mandate
SALISBURY, Md. – Tidal Health has reinstated its mask mandate for in person visits at the hospital.
Masks will be required when doctors are in the room with patients.
Doctors say this is in response to a large influx of flu cases throughout the state, leading to increased volumes at the hospital.
On a brighter note, COVID levels are low, but doctors say you should protect yourself from any kind of respiratory illness.
“We’re definitely having a worse flu year than we did last year, so we’re precautionary with anybody especially our elderly and our folks who are sick and just want to make sure we’re not spreading it inappropriately,” said Dr. Chris Snyder with Tidal Health.
Dr. Snyder said the hospital is holding 30 to 40 patients a day in the ER waiting for beds in the upper level of the hospital.
