The University of Maryland Eastern Shore is holding ‘Hawk Con’ comic book event for students
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – The University of Maryland Eastern Shore will host Hawk Con on March 1st. The event will highlight comic books and the creators behind them.
At the event, live drawings, collectibles, and panels will all be available at the Student Services Center. It will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
UMES Professor, for the School of Fine Arts, Elvin Hernandez, believes this will be a great opportunity for aspiring artists.
“Expose our students to both professional practices, as well as getting their names out there. Thus, we can create that clientele and name for themselves within their industries. And in doing so, we want to make sure we give back to the students and student body.”
All proceeds will be used for student scholarships. For more information, you can visit here.
