SU men’s basketball soars in “Fight for Ferguson” victory
SALISBURY, Md. – Salisbury University men’s basketball shined early and often in their “Fight for Ferguson” win over Regent University on Saturday afternoon.
The occasion–also an alumni game–was marked by a pregame ceremony honoring Jack Ferguson, an SU basketball player who passed away in 2019 during his senior season. Ferguson fought histiocytic sarcoma, a rare form of cancer. As part of the ceremony, Brendan Davis received the 2024-25 Jack Ferguson Leadership Award.
The seagulls jumped out to 10-point lead just 4 minutes into the game, leading 51-16 at half. Salisbury went on to win
Jordan Oates recorded 21 points and 11 rebounds in just 19 minutes, with Daniel Oyediran scoring 20 points on 10 of 11 shooting.
