Seahawks boys soar in Bayside championship game
SALISBURY, Md. – Stephen Decatur boy’s basketball dethroned reigning champs Cambridge-South Dorchester on Tuesday night at the Civic Center.
The first half was closely contested, with Decatur leading 20-19 before an 8-0 just before the break put them up by 9.
Despite the vikings’ solid shooting from beyond the arc, Stephen Decatur was able to expand their lead to 15 heading into the 4th quarter, where they closed the game to win 60-48.
The championship effort from the seahawks was headlined by Davin Chandler’s 30-point night, exactly half of Decatur’s offensive output. Stephen Decatur won the game by 12 without hitting a single three-pointer.
