Robbery at The Sleep Inn in Dover leads to an arrest

DOVER, Del. – A robbery at The Sleep Inn on Tuesday has led to the arrest of a 28-year-old woman.

According to police, around 5:20 a.m. they were called to the establishment located on 1784 N DuPont Highway for a robbery.

When officers arrived, they spoke with a clerk at the hotel who says they were approached while at the front desk.

The suspect revealed a firearm and demanded the clerk give them money before the clerk ran away causing them to flee.

After getting a description of the suspect, they found Chanel Morris-Wright walking around the area.

The firearm was not found, but they were able to arrest Morris Wright.

She faces charges for robbery of the first degree and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
