Police investigating parking lot shooting in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, Md. – The Caroline County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting Wednesday afternoon in Greensboro.

We’re told the incident happened at around 3:40 p.m. in the parking lot of the Save a Lot grocery store, located at 13263 Greensboro Road. Investigators say they reviewed surveillance footage and saw some type of incident happening around a passenger vehicle in the corner of the parking lot. One person reportedly fled the scene while another chased them, firing rounds from a handgun. The suspect then fled in a dark-colored passenger car heading north on Greensboro Road, while another person allegedly walked away towards Whitelysburg Road. The subject being fired at was picked up a short distance from the scene of the incident before police arrived.
