Parkside girls spoil Wi-Hi’s perfect bayside season
SALISBURY, Md. – Parkside girl’s basketball knocked off Wi-Hi in a thriller Friday night.
Parkside jumped out to an early lead on the strength of offensive rebounding and scoring off turnovers. The rams led 29-20 at half.
The tribe came storming back in the 2nd half, with Se’Lah Foreman scoring 14 in the 3rd quarter alone. Foreman finished with 30 points on the night.
Wi-Hi was up 50-45 with 2 minutes to play when Ta’Layah Clark completed a 4-point play to draw the rams within one. On the next possession she hit another three-point from the same spot.
The late push was enough for Parkside to take down Wi-Hi, spoiling the tribe’s unblemished conference record. Both teams now stand with one loss apiece in the Bayside South.
