Parkside boy’s basketball takes OT thriller over Wi-Hi

SALISBURY, Md. – Parkside boy’s basketball prevailed over Wi-Hi in a hard-fought overtime game Tuesday night.

The tribe led much of the game, taking a 36-33 advantage into the 4th quarter before the rams made a run, holding a 4-point lead with 2 minutes to play.

Wi-Hi’s Jullian Culley sent the game to overtime at 44-44 by hitting two out of three free throws with 9 seconds remaining. Culley led his team with 17 points in the game, including all 6 of Wi-Hi’s points in OT.

The game was tied at 50 with under 30 seconds to play when a Maurice Brown putback gave the rams a 2-point edge, ultimately the difference in the game. Parkside came away with a 52-50 victory.

Maurice Brown led Parkside in scoring with 19 points, with Javon Comegys adding 17.
