New signage coming for Ocean City Boardwalk

OCEAN CITY, Md. – New signage is in the works for the Ocean City Boardwalk.

The goal is to try and make things easier to read and understand, as well as provide a consistent look for the signage.

This comes after feedback indicated too many signs along the boardwalk had too many different designs and looks.

Guide and way-finding signs will match the colors of OC’s brand, which are blue and yellow, while regulatory signs will be pink and green.

“The idea is to present a consistent message along the boardwalk so that all the signs look similar and they’re much more clear and concise for the public, so they know what’s allowed and what’s not allowed and also where the important destinations and attractions are on the boardwalk,” said Terry McGean, City Manager for the Town of Ocean City.

The new signage was approved by Ocean City Council members during a work session last week.
