Lake Forest spoils Sussex Central senior night

GEORGETOWN, Del. – Lake Forest boy’s basketball stole a victory on senior night for Sussex Central.

The knights led 19-13 after a fast-paced 1st quarter, with the game slowing down considerably after. The knights and spartans see-sawed back and forth, with Lake Forest leading by 3 at half, then Central regaining control with a 42-40 score heading into the 4th quarter.

Central held a 4-point lead at 44-40, but Lake Forest closed the final 7 minutes of the game on a 16-6 run, going on to win 56-50.

Seth Young led all scorers with 19 for the Spartans and Darius miller added 13.

For Central, Phil Doughty scored 10 points, with 4 other knights adding 9 each.
