HALO warning of pickup scam

SALISBURY, Md. – The Hope and Life Outreach (HALO) Center is warning residents that someone has reportedly been posing as a representative.

We’re told the person is posing as the representative is going to homes “to pick up donations”.

HALO officials say their staff will have a picture I.D. and will contact you before coming to your home. Due to staffing, they do minimal pickups, and only pick up items during the week.

If someone shows up to your home claiming to be a HALO representative without I.D., do not let them enter.
