Good Morning Delmarva discusses the Worcester County Humane Society ‘s mardi paws fundraising ‘pawty’
WMDT – The Worcester County Humane Society is hosting a Mardi Paws Fundraising ‘Pawty’ to help raise money to care for all their furry friends.
Lisa Shott and Sandy Summers stopped by to share more about this fun event and how it supports this no kill non-profit.
Shott tells us that Mardi Paws is a fundraising campaign that kicked off in September of last year.
Ten people have since been competing to raise the most money for the shelter to be titled the “King and Queen of Mardi Paws”
On March 7th, they will be hosting a party to celebrate with music, a costume contest, raffles and a buffet from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
There are sponsorship opportunities and tickets are $35 at the moment, but $40 at the door.
Summers says they are so grateful for the community’s support and that all donations go towards their goal of a new building for the shelter.
