Good Morning Delmarva discusses Lower Shore Land Trust’s upcoming stewardship training
WMDT – Are you a nature enthusiast who want to help preserve our beautiful world?
Then, no need to worry as the lower shore land trust has an opportunity for you to make a lasting impact.
They are hosting a stewardship training session on February 21st for potential volunteers.
You will leave with valuable skills that are crucial to protecting lands on the lower eastern shore.
WMDT’s spoke with Matthew Heim, the executive director for the lower shore land trust, who tells us as a non-profit they really rely on the help of volunteers
to be able to expand their reach and monitor over 30 thousand acres.
If your someone who loves to get outdoors, then this perfect for you as volunteers visit properties and take photos of changes in the property.
The training is about 4 hours long and we’re told you don’t need a background in environmental science, or any particular skill set to join.
You just have to be willing to enjoy walking through fields and wooded areas for an extended period of time
