Glen Avenue Elementary teacher recognized as February Teacher Who Makes A Difference
SALISBURY, Md. – Congratulations to our February Teacher Who Makes A Difference, Ms. Lyndsay Greenan.
Ms. Greenan is a second grade teacher at Glen Avenue Elementary School and has been teaching for over 15 years. She says the students and their families are what keep her dedicated to her career.
Coworkers say she takes the extra step to be an impact on her kids’ lives and foster a sense of family in the classroom. Beyond her classroom, we’re told she’s involved in school events and cares deeply about the overall culture of the school.
Greenan tells us this award just proves her dedication to helping her students feel valued.
“I love to see them grow from the babies I get in September to the little humans that have developed their own personalities and can read and solve problems and think for themselves by the end of the year. Make sure whatever you do it’s what you believe is best for those children and if you believe in those children, they’ll believe in themselves and they can learn whatever you need them to learn.”
Greenan was also last year’s Teacher of the Year at Glen Avenue Elementary.
The Teacher Who Makes A Difference Award is brought to you in part by Pam Price and Associates. We surprised Ms. Greenan with goodies, flowers, and a certificate.
