Early morning crash claims life of pedestrian in Easton

EASTON, Md. – Easton Police are investigating a crash that claimed the life of a pedestrian early Wednesday morning.

According to police, at around 4:20 a.m., a 60-year-old woman was driving a 2015 Lincoln MKC westbound on Route 50 in the right lane. As she approached Woodbridge Drive, a 35-year-old man reportedly stepped into the travel portion of the road, into the path of the Lincoln. The pedestrian was subsequently hit and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. There were no other occupants in the Lincoln.
