DIAA extends basketball season due to cancellations

DELAWARE – The DIAA has announced that the basketball season has been extended by one day due to weather-related cancellations throughout the season.

The final day of competition before tournaments begin is now Thursday, February 20th.

Basketball Seeding Committee Meetings have been rescheduled to account for this extension:

• Girls Basketball Committee Meeting – Friday, February 21 at 8:30 AM
• Boys Basketball Committee Meeting – Friday, February 21 at 11:00 AM
• Unified Committee Meeting – Friday, February 21 at 9:00 AM

All other tournament-related dates remain unchanged:

• Girls 1st Round Games – Monday, February 24
• Unified Quarterfinal Games – Monday, February 24
• Boys 1st Round Games – Tuesday, February 25
• Girls 2nd Round Games – Wednesday, February 26
• Boys 2nd Round Games – Thursday, February 27
• Boys & Girls Quarterfinals – Saturday, March 1 – Sunday, March 2
• Unified Semifinals – Monday, March 3
• Girls Semifinals – Wednesday, March 5
• Boys Semifinals – Friday, March 7
• Unified/Girls/Boys Finals – Sunday, March 9
