Blood Bank of Delmarva’s Salisbury location permanently closes its doors

SALISBURY, Md. – The Blood Bank of Delmarva’s Salisbury location is closing its doors for good.

Earlier this week, the blood bank announced it was closing temporarily due to unexpected operational issues. But Thursday, in a statement to donors, the blood bank said it made the difficult decision to close indefinitely.

A representative for the blood bank said their focus is on, “Prioritizing locations that allow us to serve the highest number of individuals and make the greatest impact.”

The blood bank has reached out to donors to reschedule donations.
