UMES STEM educator Brad Hartle shows Good Morning Delmarva how to make “Elephant Toothpaste”
WMDT – So Jake and Jordie visited STEM educator Brad Hartle at UMES and he showed them how to create elephant toothpaste.
It’s a fun way to demonstrate an exothermic reaction while creating a bubbly and colorful substance.
You will need Hydrogen Peroxide, which Brad says you can get from any local convenience or pharmaceutical store, dish soap, food coloring, yeast, water, a container, and a baking sheet.
Most importantly, Hartle says to always wear gloves and safety goggles to protect yourself.
