The Delmarva Raptors and other organizations have made petition to help save the Harrington Ice Rink

HARRINGTON, Del. – The Delmarva Raptors and other organizations have made a petition to save the ice rink.

The Centre Ice Rink is closing its doors in May 2025. They have already collected 4 thousand signatures.

The groups have also compiled sample letters to send to state and federal legislators.

Delmarva Raptors Vice President Eric Eldridge told WMDT, they’ll do whatever it takes to keep the rink in the community.

“The reason we set up a petition is because of how much of an impact this is going to have on the local community. There are about 1,000 participants between ice hockey, figure skating, and adult hockey.”
