The 4th annual Ice & Oyster Festival is taking over Downtown Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – The Packing House and the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Resort are hosting the Cambridge Ice & Oyster Festival. It will feature dozens of dazzling 3D ice sculptures reflecting Dorchester County.

The event is scheduled for January 17th and 18th in Downtown Cambridge. Community Manager for the Packing House, Amanda Fenstemaker, told WMDT they are excited to kick things off.

“We are excited to host the kickoff party. We got a graffiti wall, lots of food, and live music.”

The Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce President, Bill Christopher, believes this engages the community. “This is huge for the city. This is our fourth year, and when it got proposed, I never thought it could go this far. We do 400 tons of ice for people to enjoy.”

A shuttle service will provide transportation between downtown and the Hyatt Regency. Both locations will offer entertainment for community members.
