Talbot County to offer free emergency response program

TALBOT COUNTY, Md. – Talbot County wants you to be prepared in case of an emergency.

Talbot County’s Community Emergency Response Team, or CERT, is teaching people disaster psychology, fire safety and other helpful skills to handle any crisis.

The free certification program is held by the Department of Emergency Service.
Emergency management coordinator, Madison Loker encourages all who are interested, to register.

“It’ll just help you be better prepared in your home for any emergency, especially if you have any kids or a caretaker of any sort,” Loker said. “It’s great to be prepared on how to help people in your own home, but also out in public.”

You don’t have to live in Talbot County to join the program. To register, you can email Madison at MLoker@TalbotCountyMD.gov.
