EASTON, Md. – The Town of Easton has declared a Snow Emergency, set to take effect at 8 p.m. Sunday.

During a Snow Emergency, no parking is allowed on streets in any metered parking space or in locations designated by “No Parking During Snow Emergency” signs. Any vehicle parked in violation is subject to be towed from any street, and the vehicle owner will be liable for any towing costs.

The following routes are designated as Snow Emergency Routes:

  • All of Washington Street: North Easton Parkway to Lee Terrace
  • Dover Street: Higgins Street to Municipal Lot beyond the District Court Building.
  • West Street: Bay Street to Glenwood Avenue
  • Federal Street: Washington Street to West Street
  • Harrison Street: Goldsborough Street to South Lane
  • Goldsborough Street: Washington Street to Aurora Street
  • Idlewild Avenue: Aurora Street to Washington Street
  • Glenwood Avenue: North Side of Street (only from Washington Street to Easton Parkway)

Trash pickup is still anticipated to take place on Monday, but recycling pickup will be dependent on the town’s private contractor. Residents are asked to place all bins just off the street so they do not impede snow plowing.
