Salisbury NHS to host financial literacy program

WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. – Salisbury Neighborhood Housing Services is looking to give local women a skills and confidence boost.

The organization is hosting a Female Empowerment Fast Track program. Participants will learn financial literacy skills, like how to build stronger credit, and find financial resources.

Housing counselor, Jackie Davis said NHS is hoping to give attendees all the important tools they need to navigate life’s financial milestones.

“We’re helping them incorporate different tools to really help control their spending and tracking expenses,” Davis said. “Also, letting them know things to look out for, like predatory lending. That can be a big problem these days.”
