Salisbury man sentenced to life for first degree murder

SALISBURY, MD.- A Salisbury man has been sentenced to life plus thirty years for first-degree murder.
The circuit court for Wicomico County has sentenced 26-year-old Antionio Oliver for Murder in First degree, Firearm Use in Crime of Violence, Illegal possession of regulated firearms, and related charges.
On July 31st, 2023 Oliver engaged in a brief physical altercation with the victim in front of 1016 Fairground Drive. As the victim began to leave the area in his vehicle; Oliver’s accomplice handed him a handgun, and Oliver chased after the victim’s car.
After the victim drove out of sight, Law enforcement say that Oliver ran across the parking lot, hid at the corner, and waited for the victim to return.
When the victim drove back to the residence and exited his car a few moments later; Oliver came around the corner of the building and shot the victim six times.
Oliver fled from Fairground Drive and ultimately from the State of Maryland until he was later apprehended.
Oliver was convicted by a Wicomico County jury following a four-day trial in October 2024.
On January 16th, 2025 Judge Kathleen L. Beckstead, Chief Judge of the Circuit Court of Wicomico County sentenced Oliver to a term of Life plus thirty (30) years, with ten of those thirty
years without possibility of parole.
