Salisbury Christian tops Salisbury School in back-and-forth affair
SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury Christian School Jaguars held off the Salisbury School Dragons Friday evening.
The Jags started hot, jumping out to an 11-1 lead in the first quarter. Salisbury School answered with a run of their own, leading 21-18 at halftime.
A three-pointer from Natalie Bailey put the Jaguars up 32-27 with just under 4 minutes remaining, but the Dragons once again closed the gap, knotting the game at 32.
Salisbury Christian ultimately pulled away with timely free throw shooting, winning 36-34.
Emily Basch led the way for the Jags, scoring 16 on the night.
