Real estate expert weighs in on 2025 housing market

DELMARVA. – Realtor, Holly Worthington offered a preview of how the housing market may pan out this year.

She predicts the market will pick up during the springtime. Worthington said while last year was a selling market, with sellers cashing out at high ticket prices, this year, she’s anticipating buyers might have the upper hand, being able to negotiate a price that best suits them.

She shared some words of advice for buyers looking to secure their home in 2025.

“You’re not married to the interest rate, you’re going to be married to the house, so you want to make sure that you understand going into it that you can go ahead and refinance and get out of that higher mortgage over time,” Worthington said.
