Milford has several City Council seats up for election

MILFORD, Del. – The City of Milford wants to remind its residents that their election is coming up and there’s still time to run for City Council.

Four, two year, city council terms are up for grabs this election. With a little over a month still left to file,  the chance to run is open to any legal citizen 18 and older who has lived in the City of Milford for at least a year in one of the four wards up for election.

WMDT News spoke to Milford Mayor Todd Culotta who says those who do decide to run, and are elected, should know that the office comes with a real commitment.

“It is somewhat of a time commitment,” Mayor Culotta said. “We have two to three meetings a month on top of what you would do as an individual councilman for various events or whatever you want to participate in.”

Milford’s election will take place Saturday, April 26 with polls open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The deadline for candidates to file is Tuesday, February 25, 2025.
