MD launches new school safety tipline
MARYLAND. – Safety officials are putting eyes and ears inside and outside of Maryland schools.
The state recently implemented the Safe Schools Maryland Tipline. Community members can use it to submit anonymous tips about any suspicious activity.
In Worcester County, Sheriff Matt Crisafulli said this effort will help keep students, teachers and staff safe, and he urges anyone who has a tip to submit it.
“Any type of problem or issue or potential crime that’s going to put a school in jeopardy, that can be reported,” Sheriff Crisafulli said.
To submit an anonymous tip, you can call 1-833-MD-B-SAFE.
