Late night drug investigation leads to two arrests in Dover
DOVER, Del. – A drug investigation late Tuesday night led to two arrests in Dover.
Police say the investigation began just after 11 p.m. when members of the Street Crimes Unit made contact with 23-year-old Darrell Boyd in the 100 block of Haman Drive. Boyd reportedly fled from officers initially but was taken into custody after a brief foot chase. While taking Boyd into custody, police found him in possession of 5.7 grams of crack cocaine and 6 bags of heroin.
Further investigation led police to a residence in the area, where they arrested a second suspect identified as 25-year-old Kaliph Miller. A subsequent search of the home led to the recovery of a loaded Glock 22 .40 caliber handgun with an extended magazine, a Sig Sauer P365 9mm handgun that was reported stolen, and approximately 49.3 grams of crack cocaine.
Miller was charged with numerous firearm and drug offenses and held at SCI on a $125,300 cash bail.
Boyd was held at SCI on a $126,000 cash bail on a list of drug and firearm charges.
