La Esperanza to unveil Thriving Newcomers Report

SUSSEX COUNTY, Del. – La Esperanza, a Delaware-based organization, is asking for community feedback on the services it offers.

This Saturday, the group will unveil its Thriving Newcomers Report, a study which collected information on issues immigrants face in Sussex County.

Co-executive director, Jennifer Fuqua said this event will help officials gain a better understanding of ways Sussex County can help uplift its immigrant population.

“There’s a lot that we can do together, in 2025, to make some headway on some of the issues that are most important to people,” Fuqua said. “Obviously, immigration is one of those issues, but so is work, education and childcare.”

The event will take place from 11-1pm at Del Tech, in the Carter Center Auditorium.
