Harriett’s House launching free dinners
CAMBRIDGE, Md. – A local non-profit is looking to provide a free meal to members of its community.
Harriett’s House, an anti-human trafficking organization, will offer free community suppers starting on February 18th.
The suppers will be held at its office location at Peachblossom Place and will be served every Tuesday following the start date.
Julie Crain of Harriett’s House says they would like to partner with other organizations in the community that want to volunteer and help provide meals.
“There is such a need in our community, with the economy the way it is, to be able to offer a free meal, but also to bring people together so they can feel a greater sense of community where they live,” said Crain.
Harriett’s House will be taking donations of soups and desserts.
They’re also in need of people to serve meals and clean up each week.
Peachblossom Place is located at 900 Peachblossom Avenue in Cambridge.
