LEWES, Del. —Shell We Bounce in Lewes Delaware is a local trampoline park and entertainment center located near the Delaware Beaches. With multiple attractions on the property, it’s sure to “blow” the whole family away.
WMDT got to jump into the fun with the General Manager Heather Rowe while the Safety Manager DeAndre Sheppard kept us safe. Rowe says they offer “Dodge Ball courts, we have basketball and the high jumps and bouncing. We have an awesome arcade with redemption, we have a kid zone’s four-story tower.”
There are thrills and chills for people of all ages to relax and enjoy a day at the park; the park has specialty bounces throughout the building. Sheppard tells us “We have a basketball court a 10-foot one and it’s about an eight/seven foot one. We also have a big main court where that’s just free bouncing and anybody- like family and friends that’s where they mostly go, we also have dodgeball.”
The main court is where you can bounce the worries away which is perfect for large groups and to let off that pent-up energy for everyone. Rowe says “It’s all ages- I mean we have the little guys lots of kids of all ages, and then of course adults like to get on there and have fun. They tend to say no at first and then see how much fun it is, and they get on there.”
Running wild and free is quite the workout… and you work up a sweat quickly. Timing is key to gaining momentum as you bounce off the walls around you. There are also competitive team games to dabble in. Their dodgeball courts are a great way to squash some beef while offering the team aspect at the park.
The park also has the thrill factor if you want to dive into some more fun with their diving board “The high jump is what seven/eight feet, then we have an airbag that’s about four feet deep and it has several chambers so it absorbs the shock of the fall,” according to Rowe.
Sheppard tells us “It’s fun you know, it’s a little scary you know if you’re afraid of heights. But you get that sort of trust-fall feeling which is cool.”
Before you can bounce you have to fill out a waiver which you can do in person or online before your visit.
They host birthday parties, and field trips at the center, plus they welcome large groups to spend the day. They even have massage chairs available for those who want to relax.
