DELAWARE – The Delaware Department of Transportation or DelDOT is preparing for the incoming winter storm. The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for the State from late Sunday night to Monday night.

DelDOT says it has 300 pieces of snow removeable equipment. They are responsible for nearly 14,000 miles of road, but efforts will be focused on clearing primary roads like I-95, Route 1, Route 13 and Route 113. Drivers are being advised to avoid driving during the storm if possible.

Officials were expected to start brining roads in Sussex County starting Sunday morning. You can monitor real-time road conditions by clicking here.
